1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CarriFit ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CarriFit is a nutrition tracking and fitness application that provides:

• Food logging via manual entry, photo recognition, voice input, and barcode scanning
• Calorie and macronutrient tracking
• AI-powered nutrition advice through Nutri AI
• Restaurant menu nutritional information
• Progress tracking and analytics
• Gamification features (streaks, achievements, XP)
• Health platform integration (Apple Health, Health Connect)

3. Account Registration

To use CarriFit, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to create an account.

4. Subscription and Payments

Free Tier

The free tier includes core features with daily limits:

• 2 photo scans per day
• 5 barcode scans per day
• 3 Nutri AI messages per day
• Manual food logging (unlimited)
• Basic progress tracking

Premium Subscription

Premium unlocks unlimited access to all features:

• Unlimited photo and barcode scans
• Unlimited Nutri AI conversations
• Health platform sync (Apple Health, Health Connect)
• Advanced analytics and insights
• Priority support

Pricing

• Weekly: $1.99/week
• Monthly: $7.99/month
• Yearly: $59.99/year

Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial of Premium features. You will not be charged during the trial period. Cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid charges.

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or Apple App Store
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's app store settings

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated systems to access the App
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Share your account credentials with others

6. AI Features and Limitations

• AI-generated nutritional estimates may not be 100% accurate
• Nutri AI provides general guidance, not personalized medical advice
• Always consult healthcare professionals for medical decisions
• Do not rely solely on the App for managing medical conditions

We continuously improve our AI accuracy but cannot guarantee error-free results.

7. Health Information Disclaimer

CarriFit is a wellness and fitness tracking tool, NOT a medical device.

• Information provided is for general informational purposes only
• The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease
• Consult your doctor before starting any diet or exercise program
• If you have a medical condition, seek professional medical advice
• In case of emergency, contact emergency services immediately

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of CarriFit are owned by CarriFit and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Create derivative works based on the App

9. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create (food logs, photos, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a license to store and process your content to provide services, and use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the App.

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal content to third parties
• Use your photos or data for advertising without consent
• Share identifiable information publicly

10. Third-Party Services

CarriFit integrates with third-party services including:

• OpenAI (AI processing)
• Stripe (payments)
• Mapbox (location services)
• Apple Health / Health Connect (health data)

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

CarriFit is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, accuracy of nutritional information, or results from using the App.

We are NOT liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Health outcomes from using the App
• Actions taken based on AI recommendations

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CarriFit, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse our services or other users

You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, we will delete your data within 30 days, and provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email to your registered address. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of jurisdiction.
